The Best Places to Enjoy Breakfast in the Bahamas

We all go on vacation to get away from everyday life, to forget about our troubles and to have a lot of fun. Whether you plan to stay in one of the homes for rent in bahamas or a hotel, you know you’re going to be looking for somewhere different to eat nearly every day. One of the great things about going on vacation is that you can find an abundance of interesting places to sit down and enjoy a good meal, but where can you enjoy the most important meal of the day? we’re going to take a look at this now:

Louis and Steen’s New Orleans Coffeehouse

Found at 809 West Bay Street, Nassau, Louis and Steen’s New Orleans Coffeehouse is a wonderfully vibrant eatery that happily serves up typical café food along with Cajun and Creole dishes too. You cannot miss this eatery as it’s painted in bright pink paint with blue borders making it stand out. One of the wonderful things about Louis and Steen’s is that it has a lot of outside seating allowing guests to enjoy the morning sun while sitting in the shade drinking a coffee or two.

Offering coffee that’s made from beans that have travelled to the Bahamas from all around the world you can try a delicious new coffee each time you visit. Serving French pastries that are nothing short of divine you can enjoy a nice breakfast as you sit outside and watch the boats make their way across the sea. But coffee and pastries are not all they serve at Louis and Steen’s New Orleans Coffeehouse, they also serve chicken wraps, sausage po’ boy and much more. So make your way to this very friendly and stylish coffeehouse for a spot of breakfast and enjoy starting your day off gently.

Zorba’s Greek Restaurant

Located at Port Lucaya, Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, Zorba’s Greek Restaurant offers Greek, Mediterranean and Bahamian dishes. The breakfast menu at this restaurant is quite large, meaning there really is something for everyone. You have the choice between more than a dozen different types of omelettes, 4 different types of eggs. A choice of pancakes and toast, steaks and stews, cereals and hot or cold drinks.

The food at this restaurant is very good, better than you would expect, in fact, and is definitely somewhere you may want to visit again. With outdoor and indoor seating you can choose to sit somewhere quiet while you begin to wake up. Please note that this restaurant can get busy around dinner times but it’s not usually too crowded when it first opens for breakfast so if you feel like waking up slowly you can as there won’t be a large crowd of people when you arrive. With a very friendly team of staff and great breakfast dishes on offer, you can have your fill and feel a little more ready for the day ahead.

Dunkin’ Donuts

Situated at Paradise Island Drive, Paradise Village Shopping Centre, New Providence Island, Dunkin’ Donuts does a surprisingly good breakfast. Enjoy an egg sandwiched between two slices of toast, a hot coffee, or a wrap or two. This international eatery serves up more than just donuts and is the ideal location if you’re looking for something quick but tasty to eat. The restaurant itself allows you to eat your meal inside, alternatively, you may want to take your breakfast away with you and enjoy it while you sit on the beach. While you may not automatically consider going to Dunkin’ Donuts for your breakfast, you may be surprised at how good some of the breakfast sandwiches are.

Dive In Bar and Grill

Found at Port Lucaya, UNEXSO Building, Freeport, the Dive in Bar and Grill is a great place to eat if you have a big appetite. For example, the ‘Breakfast special’ consists of 3 sausages, 2 fried eggs, bacon, rice, 4 slices of toast and a bit of fruit on the side.

The restaurant overlooks the Port and is the ideal place to eat if you plan to have a lot of fun in the sun or on the water. Serving up American and Bahamian cuisine this eatery is surprisingly good. You could be forgiven for thinking that the Bar and Grill serve the usual food you would find in a pub but you would be wrong. The food is very fresh, reasonably priced and is served by a great team of staff who work hard to make everyone happy. If you’re looking for a big breakfast and good quality food, the Dive in Bar and Grill is the place to be.

If you would like to find somewhere good to enjoy a spot of breakfast we recommend that you try one or all of the above eateries. While there are some great eateries throughout the Bahamas we believe that the ones you see listed above are some of the best. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you need to have your fill of good food before you decide how you’re going to spend the day. Why not head to Louis and Steen’s New Orleans Coffeehouse for a cup of the good stuff and some pastries? If you’re a lover of Greek food then Zorba’s Greek Restaurant could be the ideal destination. You may also want to give Dunkin’ Donuts a try if you want something quick, or the Dive In Bar and Grill if you have a big appetite.
